At the end of May i had a girls Melbourne trip! I must say, i was so glad to get away for a week and do what i love to do…… shop & take photos! I took many snaps which i will chuck a couple a few photos on here. Melbourne is such a beautiful place, so many historical places and stunning parks. Its definately a playground for photographers! Well im making this short and sweet but will try to remember to post again soon.
Yay. I completed my first assignment and passed! 1 down and 11 to go! Well when i put it like that it seems like a lot! Well it’s my niece’s 1st birthday on the 28th and were are having a little party the weekend after. I’m going to be making a cake. I’m so excited! i baked up a bit of a storm this morning. I baked some cookies and cream cupcakes and some apple slice. Well I’m going to keep it short and sweet today and may write a bit more in my next blog.
Hooray, its Friday again! and YAY for the long weekend. I have signed on for a Diploma of Photography so i hopefully will complete my first 2 modules and submit my first assignment this weekend. I’ll see how i go i guess, I’ve never really been a studier but thought it would be good to have something under my belt and plus its not to long of a course. Well more exciting news, tomorrow i take my lovely bridesmaids to go have their last fitting and pick up the bridesmaid dresses! I’m getting very excited. We also received a sample of the wedding invitations that Dallas and I designed and they look so good! I cant wait to send them out. Not long to go now, its just over 5 months! It’ll be here before i know it.
Well today we got out in the backyard and started redoing the edging of our garden! So it was a very eventful day. My poor Ninja is at the vet as his urinary tract is blocked. The stupid vet kept him overnight and is keeping him overnight again and the bill is astronomical! It’s the only vet I’ve ever been to that constantly insists on keeping the animals overnight then charging an arm and a leg. I think we’ll be changing vets!
Well today I was looking at some of my wedding stuff (yes im not a Clark as yet, I am a Dawe but Dallas didn’t see the point in setting up a page in my maiden name and then have to set another one up later) and noticed that it is just over 5 months away! Cant believe how close it’s getting. I remember when we just got engage on July 1st 2007! I thought I had ages to wait as we had a 15 month engagement, but then time always gets away so quickly and before you know it, it’ll be here. Lucky I planned my wedding in a week so I don’t have to run around stressing that I don’t have time to do things. I still can’t wait for it to be here though =)
Im also a little worried about my little niece Tayah who is 11 months. She has been sick for the past week, or so says her mum who my brother is no longer with. I don’t know if it’s her just not letting Ben have her or what, but its a little worrying and hope she gets better soon! I’m definitely a proud auntie! I have 2 niece’s, Tayah and Hope and a nephew Bailey. They are my absolute world and i love them to bits. They all definitely get spoiled by their Auntie Amanda. I will put some photos up on here so you can see how cute they are. haha i think nearly every kid is cute! I’m extremely clucky and can’t wait to have my own kids, but all in good time!
Well I’m going to head off now as Dallas wants to watch Superbad. =)
Thought I’d add another quick post! On Saturday 19th April Dallas and I attended the MSQuerade Ball at Brisbane’s City Hall with some of our close friends. The ball was put in place to help raise money and awareness for Multiple Scelrosis. My mum has suffered from MS for 22 years and has now lost her mobility in her legs and is now in a wheelchair, her memory isn’t to great, but we make the most of what she does have and she never lets MS get the better of her. I’m so proud of how brave she is! Dallas’ grandma also suffered from MS, she also had to use a wheelchair and sadly she is no longer with us.
So Dallas and I thought that it was a great idea to go along and support a cause that is so close and important to us. As you can tell from the pics, we all had a great time and had lots of fun dressing up and wearing our masks.

Well this is my very first blog…. ever! I started it after much persuasion from my fiance Dallas who has a blog and thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread. So i thought I’d give it a go! Well I’m 23 and living in sunny Brisbane and absolutely love photography. I’ve always been that snap happy person at the parties or gatherings that take a million photos and then everyone gets annoyed at me because ive asked them to smile one to many times! (i have started to limit myself a bit now) I also have other passions as well. I’m a mean baker and love to make fun cakes for all occasions….. but only if i really want to, because its a lot of work and takes forever! But its all worth it when you bring out the cake and everyone likes it!
Well what else can a say about me. Well i am also the crazy cat lady! i have 4 cats! One is my childhood cat, Tiddles, who is getting on at 16 years and has an bad attitude. Well that’s what happens when you get old and grumpy! I also have Ninja and Asha who are 4 years and they are good kitties, Asha is a Russian Blue and is the cutest thing (ill have to put up some photos) and Ninja is a massive black domestic short haired cat. He is 8.6 kg! Yes we have tried that diet thing but he just isn’t losing any weight (and yes we’ve had a blood test and he doesn’t have diabetes! Give me a dollar for every time someone has mentioned that and id be rich.) And then there’s little Oscar, He is a Russian Blue crossed with a Persian, so he is extremely fluffy! He is the most playful one as he is only 1 and a half! Besides that, we have a fish tank full of fish. We haven’t bothered giving them names because there’s to many and I wouldn’t remember, so they’re all called Fishy for now.
Well ill leave it at that for now, but hopefully i wont forget i have a blog and get into the habit of updating regularly.
